This vegan face wash will change your beauty routine
Yay to another new beauty series! As I have shared in my previous declutter post, you can read it here. I am cleaning up my beauty routine and introducing more vegan and cruelty free products.
I have been reading and researching a lot of the beauty products and have been shocked by the types of chemicals that are present in traditional personal care items. I have decided to take a look at products that are made with natural ingredients and are good for my skin, the environment and are cruelty free.
I wanted to share my experience with the new products I will be testing and replacing. I am rating them on the following criteria:
- Cleansing Power/ Does it work
The first product that I wanted to replace was my face wash. I have previously used a cleanser by Bosia, but found that they were testing on animals and needed to let go of it. It was actually a perfect timing since I emptied the last container. I must say that I did like the Bosia cleanser, it was good to my skin and got most of my makeup off on the first face wash. The main reason why I didn’t want to go back was that this product line is not cruelty free.
I opted for the Pacifica face wash which turned out to be amazing! (I purchased the product with my own money and I am not paid to share this)
Cleansing power: I try to squeeze only about a dime size on my palm. The cleanser gets my make up off on first face wash, which is amazing, because I needed to wash my face twice with my previous product to get all my makeup off. I am excited that this gets even the most stubborn eye pencil and mascara off. I have combination skin and always worry that a product might dry my skin out. I am very careful with introducing new products to my regiment and quickly replace an item that doesn’t serve me. I am actually very happy with this face wash as it doesn’t dry my face and hasn’t created any negative effects.
Accessibility: This product is available at many of my local shops. Pacifica is being carried at Target, Whole Foods and, I believe, I also saw it at Ulta. You can naturally order the products on their website https://www.pacificabeauty.com The website offers free shipping on all orders of $50+.
Packaging: One of the things that I really love about the brand is their packaging. I like how colorful all products are presented. I do wish that the face wash came with a pump, but I still like the tube, as I can easily control the amount of product that comes out.
Scent: I love the ocean and the beach, so “Sea Foam” spoke to me right away. I love squeezing the product onto my palm and smelling the lovely scent of an ocean wave.
Price: I paid $10.99 for a tube, and noticed that the site is offering it at $10, so almost a dollar cheaper. I don’t think that the product is very expensive, especially if you are comparing this to the prices you see for department store products. I think that the size of the cleanser and the performance more than justify the price.
Overall I can definitely rate this with a 5 start rating. I was positively surprised with it’s cleansing power and the amazing scent. I find it great that you can purchase this brand at different retailers which makes it easily accessible. I like that Pacifica’s entire product line of cleaners, lotions and makeup is vegan and cruelty free. I admire that the company has not changed its course since its start and didn’t compromise its mission for larger profit margins.
This will be definitely a product that I will repurchase in the future. I will be testing other products from the assortment and reporting back on this. One thing that has been on my radar are their lovely candles.
Have you tried any of the Pacifica products? Which would you recommend?
